One of our clients at Suited and Booted Studios is Jisc, the UK digital, data and technology agency focused on tertiary education, research and innovation. Here’s some of the work that I have done for them:

I’ve teamed up with Martin Tompkins (photographer / videographer) and Tawno Rodman (illustrator / digital designer) to offer the following:
“We develop content that can be used across multiple platforms, and for more than just one-off campaigns. Expanding the potential of a single idea.
We joined forces to produce projects that are bigger than the sum of our parts. We are ambitious, we love our work and we love to push ourselves.”
We kicked off with a brand new one minute documentary for Sony short film competition #FS7IIcomp.
This is a film about challenging who you are, pushing your limits, and what you learn about yourself as a result. This is the first time we’d ever seen a boxing match in the flesh and we took the risky decision to film the whole thing using a tricky filming technique called “lens whacking”. Before the fight we interviewed heavyweight boxer Big Dave Allan, and he gave us some surprising insights.
First official music video for Broken Bones Matilda, directed by Ian Clutterbuck, assistant director Jasmine Gotley De Silva. We spent a day in the Burdalls Yard venue in Bath using a smoke machine, slider, timelapse, costumes and some gold makeup!
Broken Bones Matilda is a five piece acoustic blues band based in Bath, England. Their unique sound is created by a blend of Raspy lead vocals, three part harmonies and wide range of instruments including the double bass and lapsteel.

A collection of videos for the Inspire Conference. From the original event promo I pulled out a set of short form videos, specifically designed as twitter teasers. The first frame is important because it becomes the holding image for the twitter video. I added subtitles because people often watch twitter vids with the sound off, and I gave each video a distinctive colour – pulled from brand assets from The House. I also made a separate promo for the wonderful Liza Hughes, founder of Inspire and Whynot?
I filmed this across two evenings with the BAMT group. The brief was to show happy, energetic students being taught lots of different disciplines by the experienced tutors.
